Long Lost Summer

The one problem with packing up your life and moving across the country is that sometimes things get lost. Like, let's say, a 16GB CF card that had hundreds of photos on it that you forgot to download before it's mysterious and sudden disappearance. Then, one day it miraculously falls out of your camera bag like it's been there the whole time, despite your multiple frantic searches for it.

So here, dear friends, is a belated trip to the motherland. I was born in western Washington state's craggy mountain evergreen blanketed landscape and it feels good to go back and explore it. Especially when there are fat and happy bull dogs on the trip with me. Though they're not the best photographer assistants ("Oh, you dropped your lens cap? Let me slobber all over it!"), they sure do give good kisses with those big goofy tongues of theirs.

  1. Great photos! Glad you found your card! I had to giggle, because here I am scrolling down landscape, landscape, landscape...PUPPY! :) Such a cute puppy, too - even despite said drool, LOL :)

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. He knows he's adorable too and thinks he can use his looks to getaway with things. Well, knows he can. Look at that face!
